What It Is

Low back pain is rarely one problem with one cause. A lifter’s flare-up after a heavy set, a runner’s ache that surfaces days after a long run, a stiffness that never fully clears after sitting too long: each points to a different mechanism. An old injury that never regained full mobility. A loss of core and hip stability. A spine that has simply deconditioned faster than the rest of the body. At Sol MVMT, identifying which mechanism is at work comes before we write a single word of your plan.

Why Standard PT Often Falls Short

Generic back pain protocols tend to treat the region, not the person. Heat, a handful of core exercises, and a plan that ends the moment symptoms quiet down can offer real, if temporary, relief. What that approach rarely resolves is the compensation pattern that put the lumbar spine under excess load to begin with. Leave that uncorrected, and the pain tends to return the moment you ask your spine to do what your sport, or your work, actually demands of it.

Sol MVMT’s Approach

Every visit is a full hour, one on one with a Doctor of Physical Therapy. We begin with a thorough movement screen and functional testing, evaluating lumbar mobility, hip and core stability, and how your spine tolerates load under conditions that resemble your sport or your work, not just at rest. From there, hands on treatment and a progressively loaded program rebuild motor control and tissue capacity in sequence, with objective testing marking your readiness to return to full training rather than a guess.

Who It’s For

Lifters whose low back gives out under a heavy set. Runners whose spine tightens during or after mileage. Anyone rebuilding after time away from training who has found their back to be the limiting factor. If an earlier plan stopped once the pain eased instead of restoring full load capacity, this is built to close that gap.

Begin with a free performance assessment. We will assess how you move, not simply where it hurts, and give you an honest account of what it will take to resolve it.
